Jack!@80

A privilege to be part of this special celebration concert on October 12, 2024 at St.Andrews on The Terrace, Wellington, of music by NZ composer Jack Body & directed by Dan Poynton.

Collaboration with Baroque Voices - directed by Pepe Becker.
Programme notes; “When I mentioned to a flute-player friend, Monica, that we would be performing some new works of mine in this concert, and that our versatile virginals player will be playing recorder for one of them, she was inspired to write two songs for recorder and voice, with Douglas and me in mind. We are fortunate to be able to include these delightful works, which fit well in this context, where all the NZ works have been written for specific people and/or intended to be given their first airing in this situation… “
“Two Reflections” for soprano voice & alto recorder performed by Pepe Becker & Douglas Mews. Futuna Chapel, Wellington. June 9th, 2024.
